Eve Baldry is a practising artist based in the UK and a BA Hons Fine Art graduate from the Cambridge School of Art.

Eve’s work explores the photograph as object by taking found photographs and incorporating them into immersive installation environments and multi-layered textural 2D works on a wide variety of media, including translucent paper and silk organza.

Memory is a key concept of the work; by drawing on photographs that the viewer can recogniseand connect with in some way the work prompts our own memories even though we have no personal attachment to the images. Her work explores this state of absence and presence, lost and found.

Fora new series of work, Eve is currently exploring memory and the natural world through collage. She continues to explore the concept of mortality and memory by using found photographs of the landscape. Interweaving these with painting, sewing, digital artistic processes and photography she has created colourful, multi-layered worlds that are intriguing and visually compelling.
